Chichester Campsite

Our campsite at Chichester is perfectly located in the village of Fishbourne, Chichester.

Situated within the grounds of Fishbourne Playing Fields and Fishbourne Centre, this is a perfect location for a camping trip with your family.

We have 20 tent pitches where you bring your own camping equipment, and 5 glamping pitches, where you can just rock up with your bedding and cooking equipment then settle into one of our modern pre-pitched tents which are kitted out with camp beds.

Car Free Campsite

We have a dedicated car park. Cars are not permitted onto the camping area. Trollies will be available, and our camping team will be on hand to help you transport your equipment to your pitch.

The campsite is dog friendly, but we ask dog owners to keep their dogs on leads at all times when within the campsite area.

Chichester Campsite Facilities

The campsite is attached to public playing fields, which include:

  • Toilets and showers
  • Open grass playing area, perfect for family games of rounders/football/kite flying
  • A woodland bike track suited to younger children (under 12s) to help build their confidence in track riding
  • A pond and stream at the furthest area of the field (away from the campsite)
  • A multi-use hard court which is great for basketball and football
  • A wonderful, fenced playground with a zip line
  • There is another unfenced play area which includes large swings and mini trampoline (this area is next to the campsite)
  • For the fitness fanatics there is also an outside gym area

Food & Drink

Within 1 minute of the campsite there is a fantastic bar at the Fishbourne Centre, which serves food and drink at great value. There is a lovely indoor bar area and plenty of outside seating on the terrace.

There will be events throughout the season in the bar e.g. quiz nights and children’s entertainment – keep an eye out on our events pages for details.

Within a 10 minute-walk there are two other pubs which both offer food; The Bull’s Head and The Woolpack.

Chichester Harbour & Coast

From the campsite there are lovely walks over to Chichester Harbour. The beautiful local coastal village of Bosham is just a 40-minute walk away, and Dell Quay (The Crown & Anchor Pub has amazing views across the harbour) only takes 30 minutes by foot across the fields and along the coastline. There are so many fantastic walks directly from the campsite, it’s hard to mention them all, but our team will be on hand to point you in the right direction.

From the campsite there is access to the famous Salterns Way Cycle/Walking route. This takes you straight down to West Wittering if you fancy a day at one of the best beaches in the country, proud holder of the Blue Flag Award. Centurion Way is also easily accessible, and this takes you North towards Goodwood.

Chichester City Centre

Chichester City Centre is about 40 minutes flat walk away (20 minutes cycle), or you can pop on the train from Fishbourne Station for the 3-minute journey (the train station is only 5 minutes’ walk from the campsite).
